The Right/Left Dilemma Continues
While at the pool, a man said, "Wow! You've got a lefty athlete? That's really cool!" At first, I didn't understand. I looked at Jared and he was holding a racquet in his left hand. He would throw the ball up with his right, and then hit with his left. He was really good, too! He had been throwing a football with that same man, using his right hand. He's good with all sports, but I guess I'd never watched him with a racquet.
As I've mentioned in previous posts, we don't know which hand he favors for most things. His 3 year old preschool teacher said he used his left. His four year old teacher had him use his right. The other day I gave him a pen to write his name and he took it with his left and began writing. He switched over to his right after the first letter. Dr. C. believes this has to do with his brain hemispheres not communicating. She said she will figure out if he is right or left handed this summer. I guess we'll wait and see!
