"It's Not a Tumor"

As I have mentioned before, no one seems to know the cause of Auditory Processing Disorder. I know my child didn't have lead poisoning, which some say is a cause. He didn't have severe head trauma. There wasn't a childhood virus. I was at the birth and I don't believe my child was deprived of oxygen. I mean, the doctors didn't mention it and he came right out. He doesn't have a tumor, which some experts have even included in the list of possible causes of this severe disability. (Or I could just say, "It's not a tumor", in my best Arnold voice.) The only thing that I can somewhat connect is ear infections. Apparently multiple ear infections can cause APD.  I know a bunch of kids who have had more than Jared, however, and they don't have APD. The doctor never mentioned putting tubes in his ears, so I don't believe his few were that horrible.

He did have a couple issues with swimmer's ear, because he is a little fish. But, I haven't found a connection between that and APD. The body and brain are mysteries to me!

And, here is my little fish at the water park yesterday:
If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 1 Corinthians 12:17 (NIV)
