A Pet for a Few Days
The turtle didn't eat. He just wouldn't eat anything we gave him. He didn't seem to be enjoying life. Therefore, I decided to free him before he died in an aquarium on our counter. Bye, Green Lantern!
Is that a grimey old water bottle in the corner? Is he going into a polluted lake?! Doesn't seem too promising...he probably liked his chances on your counter better! j/k! :-) Green Lantern, you will be missed! You'll probably run across him 20 years from now, 5 Xs the size, still sitting by the bottle & happy as a clam! :-)
Just about a year ago, we found a great big turtle in our backyard. The kids kept him for about two weeks. They built this huge "habitat" for him in the backyard. Then it was time to release him. We let him go in Landa Park. I have a feeling he's very happy.
